Residence Inn by Marriott Washington, DC Downtown

We enjoyed our stay at this Residence Inn for our family trip to DC. We are a family of 4, and we had a one bedroom suite. Our kids had no problems with the pull out couch, but I’m not sure how comfortable it would be for an adult. Our room was a corner room and it was huge! It also included a good size kitchen with sponges and soap. Our room was very clean which is always greatly appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful when we needed them. The free breakfast had a wide variety of items. Our kids always love being able to pick their own breakfasts, and we all appreciated how many choices we had each morning. The location of this hotel is also great. It’s walkable to the White House and other attractions, as well as transportation. We would stay here again!

Large room with a nice balcony. A full kitchen and the bedding was comfortable. The free breakfast was a plus with hot or cold options and fresh coffee! Will be back!

Stayed here the last week of July and loved it. I chose residence because I had to spend most of my time in the room, and this hotel turned out to be perfect for that. Staff were super kind, professional, and attentive — they seemed to understand exactly what would make my stay comfortable and went out of their way to make it happen. Breakfast didn’t have a huge variety, but it was free, and covered all the essentials. The room was in excellent condition. The sofa, bed, and furniture looked fresh and clean, and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need including the appliances which worked perfectly. Housekeeping did a spotless job (I'm not easy to impress when it comes to cleanliness) — even the hard to reach spots were dust free. 100% would stay here again.

I had come down to run the 50th anniversary of the Marine Corps Marathon (happening at the same weekend of the Howard University homecoming). I appreciating having my room available for early checkin as well as the 4pm titanium checkout. The suite was spacious and modern. I loved that the breakfast had reduced fat chocolate milk. The staff were friendly and helpful. Well situated to the DC attractions and the metro.

The bed and room was nice, location was also convenient. Having the kitchenette was nice. The staff was the best part. The breakfast staff was AMAZING as well as all the interactions with the front desk and house keeping. I don't think I've stayed at a hotel that has had better staff. Thank you.

The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. They are updated and the kitchen is always very useful. Would be nice to have an elevator that goes to the parking levels but going up 1 or 2 flights of stairs isn't a deal breaker at this hotel at all.

Nice renovated hotel. But, only having queen size beds was not so good. They were not firm. The room was large with walk in shower. Was quiet for our 4 nite stay. Staff was amazing. The breakfast bar was DELICIOUS! A brand new restaurant/lounge just opened on first floor. Bar cocktails were great!

I mean there was really nothing wrong with my 5 nights at this hotel. Rooms: The rooms were nice, had a kitchen and eating area, comfortable beds and clean bathroom Service: I do really appreciate the housekeeping everyday, not all hotels do it anymore which is sad to see. It is was refreshing to see the beds made and the room picked up every day after sightseeing or doing an activity in dc. Also the free breakfast everyday was awesome! The waffles were amazing and I want to thank this hotel for it being included with the stay itself and not a separate purchase. Location: This hotel close to everything, not far from really any attraction but still recommended driving around if you had the choice. This hotel is close to many eating options such as dominos, jimmy johns, chipotle, etc. Overall a great hotel, has laundry, a gym, and free breakfast everyday. I recommend staying here if your in the area.
